The Dogs

Meet Copper and Jethro–they are two of a kind! They may be a bit spoiled but they are the most gentle, loving, sweet-natured dogs I have ever met. They love being outdoors (a lot more than they like me wrapping them in Christmas lights) and they LOVE kids.

This is Copper when he was a puppy. He is a lot bigger now; we call him our “gentle giant.” My favorite thing that he does is whine when he hears a baby cry. We have never had a baby ourselves, but when I take photos of newborns in my photography studio he often hears them cry and he whimpers until they feel better and stop crying. He is very concerned for humans; especially the little ones.

Jethro had a lot more attitude as a pup (like laying on top of the other puppies in his litter), but he was sure a cutie! He is younger than Copper and he is such a lover and a cuddle bug.

Copper won’t be winning any doggie modeling awards any time soon, but we still tell him he is a HOT DOG!

Though we have never had children of our own, our dogs have been exposed to lots of children throughout the years. Copper especially, spent a lot of time with very small children (of our friends) from a very young age. Even when he was a puppy he was very gentle and would let babies and small children climb all over him, pull his ears and he just couldn’t get enough of the attention.

The dogs love playing with our friends’ kids! They have spend a lot of time around children and they adore them. They can’t wait until we adopt a child into our little family so they can love, protect and comfort him or her.
